Andrea Raffin was born in Milan, Italy in 1976.

He approached visual arts , photography in particular , after having studied philosophy.

Then he attended Istituto Italiano di Fotografia in Milan, from which he graduated in 2002.

He started his career working as a photographer on cruise ships and in holiday villages.

Then he worked as an assistant in water sports photography and in geographic reportage.

Later he became a freelance photographer collaborating with Italian and foreign agencies, magazines, foundations and companies.
